Code of conduct
These guidelines are a work-in-progress.
TL;DR:
Be respectful of other people, respectfully ask people to stop if you are bothered, and if you can't resolve an issue, contact the moderators. If you are being a problem, it will be apparent and you'll be asked to leave.
1. Be respectful to each other
Be considerate, kind, constructive, and helpful – this extends to to people/things outside of the group (i.e. this isn’t a place to bad mouth others or post #hot-takes). Avoid demeaning, discriminatory, harassing, hateful, or physically threatening behaviour, speech, and imagery. If you're not sure, ask someone instead of assuming.
2. Ask questions!
We’re here to help and learn from each other, so don’t be afraid to ask. There’s no such thing as a stupid question
3. Feedback
This space is primarily to give and receive feedback. Try to give more feedback than you receive. Try to be thoughtful when delivering and receiving feedback: we’re trying to elevate one another’s skills, rather than tearing work apart.
4. Privacy
What’s posted in the group stays in the group unless you have explicit permission to share it.
5. Disagreements
There are likely to be situations where people have different views: that is ok and to be expected. Fights and blatantly disrespectful behaviour won’t be tolerated.
6. No unsolicited selling
It’s totally fine to share your own content in chats where it’s relevant, but please don’t post messages (or DM people) with the aim of selling or promoting your own products/services to others. The only exception is if someone explicitly requests help that they offer to pay for.
7. Don’t post anything NSFW
If you need help or have a question, DM a moderator.
